A planet is made, and Sollux is detached.

look i made a thing
basic on-the-way editing, not much else
Sollux disliking himself and life but in a passive i'm-0k-with-it way
I should probably go more in depth, but it's 1500 words and I think it's good as is for a first scene thingy
It's probably rushed or something I'm not really sure where I'm going with this or how to go about

Summary: Following the defeat of Lord English, everyone regroups, and Sollux detatches himself from the world but is generally ok with it.
Word Count: 1501
Casualties for the final battle had ultimately rounded up to zero on their end. Lord English had been snuffed out thanks to their combined efforts, and not even a de-powered Bec Noir was up to causing trouble. PM was placated from his slaughter by The Mayor, who was just happy to have Serenety back, all the kids were god tier, and the trolls that hadn't accomplished such a feat during their session had managed to stay out of the line of fire, either behind the lines with strategy, or out on the field with frequent barrel rolls. The one who had taken the most hits had been the doomed Aradias and Striders that had slowly joined their group once the final battle had drawn near.
They really had no idea what to do afterwords, so Jade, Rose, and Kanaya had gone to work figuring out how to create another world for all of them. Everyone else generally made themselves scarce on the meteor, or hopped from planet to planet in the incipisphere of this not-exactly void session. They still didn't really know what they were doing, after all. He helped as much as he could, but one of the casualties, while minor, had been his eyes(again), so he was blind(again), and not really able to assist much other than lend an ear for theories, or see if any of his doom prophecies sounded similar to their plans(the perks of being a Doom aspect was that he could tell when something was a bad idea, and what was more than likely to get them killed, even if his vision bifold was gone).
Because of this, he usually kept to the central block Rose and Kanaya had spruced up right around the time they'd first met the humans. It was comfortable, if anything, and when he wasn't prophecising, or listening to their soft chatter, or tuning out to Karkat and Strider arguing over the most inane bullshit, he was fazing in and out of an odd half-sleep he wasn't even sure he should be having. Mostly because, part of the alpha timeline or not, he was still half-dead, he was still troll-Schrödinger's purrbeast. He wasn't even sure if he needed to eat, or sleep, or any of that, but sometimes he would get hungry, just a little, and sometimes his eyes would droop, but that would mostly be out of boredom. He couldn't even code anymore.
It was sometime after Roxy had attempted to code with him as her brain for the third time(they still got in arguments about it that ended up with her almost crying, and him attempting to rip his hair out, but it was sweet of her to offer, and he appreciated it nonetheless) that he'd been startled from his half-sleep by a shriek of joy from very far away. It was no doubt Jade, and he knew that she should have been on her ship, but he still had trouble finding it on his own in this maze of a meteor, and just his luck, no one was there to lead him to it. He huffed, because this whole being blind thing really did suck once you got passed all the perks it gave him, especially when there was news-- important news, by the sound of it-- and he couldn't get to the place it was being announced.
The smell of sand and perfume alerted him to her presence before anything else, though hit didn't quite register before a gentle hand was hoisting him up and brushing off his shoulders.
"Jade has some important news," She told him, words as crisp and clear as usual, and he nodded, blinking purely out of habit around the glass sphere's they'd placed in his eye sockets to keep his eye cavities from caving in. Dirk had informed him that he could probably figure something out so he could see again, but it'd take time. He'd agreed only because all this talk of robotic prosthetics made him think of Equius, and that... well, more so than Roxy anyway.
"So I heard," he murmured, still a little surprised that the lisp was gone. As awesome as it was, it still struck him as odd. Especially when he wasn't expecting it, or hadn't talked in a while. "We found a place to live in harmony yet or are you getting me up for nothing?"
"You really should be a bit more optimistic, given our recent progress," Her tone had that motherly huff to it as she took his arm and led him towards the transportalizer.
"You should remember that the last time I was optimistic, an omnipotent woofbeast killed all our chances for a vaguely-normal post-game."
They didn't speak after that, Kanaya merely leading him towards the giant golden ship(at least, he'd heard it was that. Everything had sort of been black and white to him for a while there) and his mind trying to wander off too far. He tried to focus on the smells, and sounds, because while Terezi had tried to teach him how to see like she did, it didn't have as much affect as either of them had hoped. His senses had all heightened to roughly the same level.
"I cannot even believe you managed not to fuck this up," was the first thing he heard-- it was Karkat, no surprise there-- and right before they walked through the threshold. He definitely sounded happy; the usual simmering rage that underlined all of his words was oddly absent.
"Of course they didn't, Vantas, unlike you, they know that they're doing,"
Kanaya let go of him at that point to help Rose auspitise between Dave and Karkat(again) and a quiet chuckling sounded off to his left. "This place is beautiful Sollux, I can taste it," Terezi smiled, and he nodded, turning his head gently in the direction that he could hear her in. "The diagram alone is pretty delicious,"
"Yeah?" Was all he said, because what else could he say to that? He was used to making some sort of blind joke, something about how taste was not enough to enjoy a sight, or whatever. It was all playful teasing, she would hold court-cases about it, which was the only time Magistrate Appleberry, or whatever she'd called him when she got like this, would get some sort of righteous ruling or whatever. Now, however, the jokes just made him think of how generally useless he was-- not like it was a big change or anything, but at least beforehand he could defend himself.
"This is the perfect time to train your senses. Once we land I'll take you out to explore first thing!" She sounded excited, but then, she was rarely not excited these days, between all the new people, and Can Town.
"I'll hold you to that," He murmured.
Exploring with Sollux had not, in fact, been the first thing Terezi did, but he was just fine with that-- it gave him a chance to hide, which was easy enough on the ship, with it's many rooms, and doorways, and secret chambers. The weeks before their landing, he'd been able to search out a room that was pretty much empty. It was a small room notched up above the nutritionblock, probably supposed to be used for storage or something. There was enough room for maybe 5 Gamzees to lounge in comfortably, outrageously difficult horns and all, and all he really had to do was cover the floor with a layer of pillows, a thermal drape atop that, and put a pile of cushy shit in the corner and he was done. He also had a husktop, but it was mostly because of the familiarity, and most days he didn't even turn it on. His only reprieve from boredom was music, and the headphones he kept soundly on his head. It was the only thing his laptop was good for now a days.
He wasn't sure how many times his library repeated, but every time he went to the nutritionblock for food-- more out of boredom, or loneliness, or guilt than anything else-- he made sure no one else was around. He knew he was worrying them, but if he were being brutally honest with himself, which was something he had a whole lot of practice in lately, they probably should have left him in the nearest dream bubble, or offered him a mercy kill, or something. He was already half dead, there was no legitimate reason to keep him around. All he was good for was reminding everyone of what they had lost.
Trips to the kitchen, however, were few and far between. He didn't really feel hungry, and it wasn't like the consumption of a healthy amount of food was a thing he was familiar with anyway, so most of his time was spent sleeping. Sleeping, and listening, and being more ok with everything then he really should have been.
